Dr. Veronica Hawkins is a three-time graduate of The Pennsylvania State University; yet was told she was not college material. Not to be deterred, Veronica took advantage of every extra-curricular activity availed to her at Vocational Technical High School. She became a leader of various student organizations and worked via the co-op program to help at home. Veronica’s professional endeavors include mentoring, advocacy, and using the experiences of her past to equip those traditionally under-represented at the table take their seat and let their voice be heard.

Veronica has held leadership roles in Healthcare, Higher Education, Retail Operations, Manufacturing, and most recently Supply Chain. Her time in Healthcare was spent as the Retention and Engagement Manager for a regional healthcare organization of 30,000 employees. Veronica created and launched two system-wide employee engagement strategies and developed an onboarding program for 16 hospitals/service organizations. Her roles in retail operations includes: Store Team Leader for Target, District Sales Manager at The Children’s Place, and Regional Director of Sales LensCrafters. In the retail operations realm Veronica became known for building highly effective teams and driving profitable sales. She has worked in Human Resources in Affirmative Action, Training and Development, and Data Analytics. As the Affirmative Action Officer for New Holland North America, Inc. Veronica was involved in ensuring women and minorities were appropriately represented in Agricultural Equipment Manufacturing. As Director of Talent Development at NFI Industries, Veronica’s role is to ensure NFI has the people capabilities and process infrastructure to achieve organization goals. She leads all Learning and Organization Development, Performance Management, and talent related initiatives.

In her free time Veronica and her husband, William, enjoy listening to live music and finding great restaurants. They have the privilege of co-parenting three children: Daniel, A. Isaiah, and Channing and fabulous beagle boxer mix named Chesterfield. She’s a native of Philadelphia, PA, and is honored to be called wife, mother, sister, friend, and mentor.
